That’s me few weeks ago after I realized that I formatted, not only once but multiple times, the wrong hard drive!!!

I have a few hard drives laying around the house that mostly function as removable storage when I’m on the go, usually there’s nothing really important in them and the content can be safely deleted, but this one was full of backed up data that was somewhat important.

Now everything is gone, behind recovery, at least with the cheapo recovery software found on the interweb and for sure I’m not gonna use a scanning transmission electron microscope to recover overwritten data as Peter Gutmann presented in his paper.

Gotta go, need to buy a sharpie!
